4 of 5 Replaced crystal with sapphire February 12, 2022

So I'm rough on a watch. This watch is great because the bezel takes a beating and doesn't get ruined like one with an insert. The bezel makes this watch for me. It's a very solid.
My big negative is the mineral crystal. After a couple months of wear my crystal was scratched and chipped quite a bit. The original crystal is 3mm thick and sits level with the top of the bezel so there's litte protection. I replaced the crystal with a 2.5mm thick sapphire crystal. Now the crystal is protected because it sets slightly lower than the top of the bezel. I am loving it.
As others have mentioned, different colors on the hour and minute hands would be great as they really overlap the markers on the dial and it's difficult to tell the time in complete darkness. Other than that, the watch runs great. The case and band are built solid as heck. It's a great watch for the price, especially for an everyday use. I just wish these watches would come standard with a sapphire crystal.

I recently purchased the DF-45. It's gorgeous, fits my 71/2 inch wrist perfectly and even though it's fairly hefty I don't even notice it once it's on. The brushed case is well done and the blue dial is awesome. The bezel is about half a click off but that's nitpicking. I would, however, make two changes. The bezel takes some effort to turn and would benefit from better knurling. Also, I would make the tritium tubes on the hands a different color than the indices which would make it more legible at night. Overall though, it seems a great watch and I would recommend it to anyone with the wrist size to accommodate it.
