My son chose this watch with the black dial. He loves the idea of automatic watches and how they will never need a battery.  He loves the simplicity and functionality having day, date, and rotating bezel.  It will certainly become a conversation piece, especially if he asks his friends what the DF stands for.  (Hint, look at Wing's videos.)  The textured black dial with the bright hands is very easy to read.  This watch looks even better in person!

The SII NH36 has, so far, impressed me.  The overall accuracy is +2s/d +/- 1s/d.  This is excellent for a watch of this caliber.  Even more impressive is the positional error of +/- 1 s/d.  The fastest rate was 12 down (5 s/d), and the slowest was 12 up (1 s/d).  

I'll check the accuracy and precision in a year or so to see how it fares over time as my old Seiko 7s26 didn't fare so well.  The DF-47 with the NH36 is on an excellent start!

5 of 5 Great watch, but short watch band December 17, 2019

Got this watch in black, as I love the design simplicity and the overall attention to detail. The lines on this watch case are angled and high polished, for a modern and unique look, plus it has a great movement.

Now for my one complaint about this purchase. It's about the watchband.

I have an 8 inch wrist and this watchband barely fits me. I have to wear it on either the first or second hole in the band which is not comfortable for me.
This watch should be listed for wrists 8 inches and smaller.
I've measured it against other watches and I noticed a reduction in band length of approximately a half inch.
As a big guy I'm use to being sized out of products and hope Wing will address this issue as I have 30 of his watches.
There should be some type of caveat for guys with larger wrists regarding band length.
5 stars for the watch, very disappointed with the watchband. Sad to say, but this one may go back.
